Low Level Laser Therapy in Phoenix

Cold Laser Therapy

I chose to offer low-level laser therapy at the practice, as there’s overwhelming evidence that the therapy is effective for various conditions. One study that got my attention was that laser therapy reduced pain by up to 30% percent in a single treatment.

At Breathe Chiropractic, we use the Erchonia® EVRL Class 2 laser because it includes both red light and purple light. Studies show that having the two frequencies together produces better outcomes and makes the healing time faster.

How Does Laser Therapy Work?

The main action of the laser is that it gives your cells increased energy, so they can do the job of healing. The laser we use is primarily known for reducing pain, and it’s the first laser to be cleared by the FDA to be used specifically for pain. With laser therapy, tissues heal faster, and people can therefore experience relief more quickly.

Conditions It Can Address

Low-level laser therapy (LLLT) has been proven to be successful in treating a myriad of medical conditions with no side effects.

 These conditions include

  •  Carpal tunnel syndrome
  •  Chronic joint pain
  •  Chronic neck & shoulder pain
  •  Chronic non-healing wounds
  •  Concussions/TBI injuries
  •  Degenerative conditions
  •  Muscle strains and tears
  •  Neuropathy
  •  Post-surgical pain
  •  Sports injuries (e.g. sprains and strains)
  •  Tendon and ligament injuries

ShockWave Therapy in Phoenix

Acoustic wave therapy

ShockWave Therapy in Phoenix

Finding effective, non-invasive ways to support the body’s healing process is one of our greatest passions at Breathe Chiropractic. One of the newest tools we offer is ShockWave Therapy—a powerful treatment that targets stubborn pain and damaged tissue at its source.

Not Shocking at All

Despite the name, which some may find a bit alarming, ShockWave therapy isn’t shocking at all. It uses acoustic energy (not electricity) to stimulate healing in damaged tissue. The treatment is mechanical, not surgical—it works by breaking up old scar tissue and encouraging your body to recognize and repair it.

Most people find the session very tolerable. You may feel a bit of pressure or pulsing during the treatment—it’s often described as mildly uncomfortable, but brief. Many patients say the relief that follows is well worth it.

ShockWave has been used successfully for decades in hospitals and clinics around the world. The version we use is specifically designed for chiropractors—it’s safe, shallow-penetrating, and focused solely on damaged tissue, leaving healthy areas untouched.

“Using acoustic technology, we can break down scar tissue, release healing factors, and repair even the longest-standing injured tissue. The treatment is quick and non-invasive,” emphasizes Dr. Carla.

Conditions It Can Address

This therapy is particularly helpful for chronic and recurring pain that hasn’t responded to other approaches. It’s a great option if you’re dealing with:

  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Frozen shoulder or rotator cuff injuries
  •  Tennis or Golfer’s Elbow
  •  De Quervain Tendonitis
  •  Sciatica
  •  Meniscus damage
  •  Hip or knee arthritis
  •  Neuropathy or soft tissue pain

It can also support healing in newer injuries—giving your body the extra signal it needs to prioritize tissue repair.

BrainTap in Phoenix

Do you find yourself stressed? Do you struggle to slow down and take time for yourself?

We get it. That’s why at Breathe Chiropractic, we offer BrainTap: a relaxing, tech-enhanced experience that helps your mind shift out of stress and into a healing state.

What Is It & How Does It Work?

BrainTap is a headset-guided meditation tool that utilizes light and sound to induce a state of deep relaxation. It’s ideal for people who want the benefits of meditation but find it challenging to get there on their own. Through audio programs enhanced with binaural beats, soothing voice guidance, and light therapy, BrainTap helps your brain access calming alpha, beta, and theta waves—all in just 20 minutes.

Here’s how easy it is: You simply put on the headset, close your eyes, and let the technology do the work. The headset includes the following:

  •  Comfortable headphones with lights that stimulate the ears (auriculotherapy)
  •  A soft visor that emits gentle, rhythmic pulses to help guide your brain activity
  •  Guided meditations designed to support relaxation, focus, sleep, and performance

“It’s like a massage for your brain,” says Dr. Carla. “That’s why we use it after an adjustment—because once we’ve adjusted you, you’re in an optimum healing state and we want to deepen and maximize the healing process.”
